Functions of the Committee

SO24E states that the functions of the Foreign Affairs and Defence committee are to have general responsibility concerning matters relating to foreign affairs and defence. The committee examines foreign affairs and defence matters referred to it by the Parliament, the Minister for Foreign Affairs or the Minister for Defence. The committee may also investigate and report on other foreign affairs and defence matters as it considers appropriate.
