THE first batch of Parliamentary Service (PS) staff attending the four-day training on Financial Literacy facilitated by Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) have received a Certificate of Completion each, after completing all modules of the program at Parliament House, yesterday.

The training ended with Module Five (5) on the topics; "Financial Literacy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Mindset" and "Business Planning".

Clerk of Parliament, Kala Aufa thanked the team from NSL and Nambawan Savings & Loan Society Limited (NSLS) as well as the Service’s Civics and Education Division for the initiative to equip staff with basic knowledge on how to manage their money wisely.

He stressed that borrowing money from financial institutions and from the street lenders is one of the main issues a lot of the staff are burdened with and through this training they should be able to invest more into savings to ease the burden.

He also congratulated the staff for their interest and effort to participate in this very informative training.

PS staff Hura Kwarara from Reporting (Hansard) Division, on behalf of the participants, thanked the Clerk and the team from NSL for the opportunity given which has helped her personally to manage her finances.
